“Le Comte Ory” by Rossini is a great remake of the scenic cantata “Il Viaggo a Reims” in a authentic “opéra-comique”, with just the addition of a few passages. After the recover of the play in Glyndebourne in 1956, Teresa Berganza performed at the second “exhumation”at the Piccola Scala two years after with Graziella Sciutti singing the character of Isolier in another sample of fondness the artist from Madrid to transvestite characters.
